Activities that demonstrate how a teacher addresses the three core considerations."
A commonality of art activity: The children will receive age-appropriate materials such as colored construction paper, black paint, black markers, and googly eyes. Children will use their handprints to create a spider, and this promotes cognitive and fine motor skills, self-expression, and exploring.
Doing puzzles is also another activity that can be used for problem-solving
Individuality: Monitor children throughout the activity. Be sure to support each child's particular needs and choices when working on the spider project. Providing them with opportunities to explore their interests and develop their unique skills and talents is important. Acknowledge and recognize their efforts. Children's cultural backgrounds and holidays such as Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas are fundamental to their development, so it is important to understand them and celebrate them.
Context: As a result of observing the children individually and getting to know them, you can say that a spider should have eight legs and two googly eyes. In addition, what holiday is the spider popular on? What is the average time it takes for children to complete their projects?
Because Halloween is just around the corner this month, and many parents celebrate it with their kids, I chose a project themed around Halloween. This project addresses the three core considerations.
